lol, its not an insult, more of a compliment. cat *bleep* one is a great animated short film(at least theres only 1 ep so far) we weren't comparing it to actual cat scat...lol probably should have explained it more, thought more ppl know what it was....


wings3d is just a uber streamlined gmax/3dsmax. no real rendering, no animation system(yet), has uv unwrapping etc. its only like 30mb at most, and runs straight off a usb drive(which is great going from school and back). i model faster with wings since the menus are contextual to w/e u got selected(all right click for menus, barely need the keyboard except for naming and exact angles etc.

i feel that u guys dont relize what can do with this. if u use texmod, u can make it so maps across teh board look better for u, and even different styles, sch as weather changes, hell w/e u want, without having to edit the actual maps, instead just start up texmod and load up a texture pack for the game.

i think that if u make that ship ur making ally, make it slightly outside the level, have it doing something moving around slowly and maybe firing etc, like in a map in bc2, there are ships in teh distance firing etc. you could do that, and have shells come down periodically somewhere(that probably has to be scripted thou right?). make em scenery no need to drive em :P

actually if u shorten the horizontal fins and lengthen the body about 75% u can make it a sub like thing. use it as scenery in either a water based level, or if u make it fly, some sort of cutter made for flying?

strangely make sme thing of a flatfish crossed with a maxipad? it seems too soft edged, try adding some hard edges unless u were going for a organic ship?
